From making the decision to homeschool to planning for the transition to college, this book has the answers parents need to help their children succeed! “My opinion is that this book should be on every homeschooler’s shelf. Not just those of us that school our gifted kids at home, but everyone. It’s down-to-earth, easy to read, and is written by someone who is living the life right alongside you and me. Cindy West knows what she’s talking about, and she shares it in an open, kind, helpful way.” —Colleen Kessler, RaisingLifelongLearners.com
Questions Answered and Worries Gently Calmed I adore the practical. I also like nuggets of homeschool helps. I lean heavy into the wisdom of veteran homeschool parents and trusted and like-minded friends. Yâall, author Cindy West is a mix of all of those things for me. And she shares her knowledge with all of us in this book. There are highlighted sections throughout her book, including âhomeschool hintâ, âhomeschool toolboxâ and âreal-life exampleâ. So, if all you have time for in a day is a quick glance then you have gleaned something…
Lots of practical application! Loved it! This book is unlike any homeschool book Iâve read. There is so much practical implication for your children. Itâs really helped me with my son who is in 7th grade. He is great at math but struggles to sit and work through numerous problems. This book offered practical suggestions and now my son whizzes through his math. I would recommend this book for any mom who has a child thatâs gifted. And I would say any homeschooling mom looking for some help in their journey would benefit from this book.
Thoughtful, practical advice for any Home Educator This is a wonderful book about home educating! Whether you think your kids are especially gifted or not, definitely add this to your âmust readâ list. Cindy thoughtfully explaines so many facets of homeschooling, from different methods (Classival, Charlotte Mason, etc) to different learning styles. She offers clear, practical advice and even includes resource suggestions for different subjects. I read this cover to cover in a few days and know that it will be one of my go-to homeschool…
