Lots of questions – good design This book has lots of questions for practice. Some of the questions involving shapes & the abacus questions were stumpers for me – so I’m glad there are explanations in the answer key. Wish kids could have more practice with the figure analogy & classification questions b/c they don’t get anything like this at public school…at least not at my kid’s.
Great Book – very clear and concise with answer key. Our favorite COGAT prep book The Gateway Gifted books are really good compared to some of the other ones we have looked at. We have used them last year and the kids enjoyed using them as well. they make it easy for a parent to assign a section at a time and look up answers as required. Too often in these types of books we find questions that dont make sense even to adults or are hard to understand. The Gateway books dont seem to have these types of issues/errors in them.
Excellent book We have used the books from Gifted Resources for Cogat prep for our kids and they have been useful in getting our kids into the highly capable program. The books are laid out in a nice format with bright illustrations and good explanations in the answer keys. Most of the questions seem reasonable without being too complicated, with some other books sometimes more than one answer seems to make sense.
