Cuddle up with Nicholas the bunny in Richard Scarry’s beloved classic.

I am a bunny. My name is Nicholas. I live in a hollow tree.

In the spring, Nicholas picks flowers and chases butterflies, and in the summer, watches the frogs in the pond. In the autumn, he sees the animals preparing for the winter. When winter comes, Nicholas watches the snow falling from the sky, then curls up in his hollow tree and dreams about spring. In print for well over 50 years, this beautifully illustrated, gentle story has been a favorite Golden Book for generations.

An old favorite I bought this book for my son because it seemed vaguely familiar. When it arrived and I opened it up to read it to him, I almost burst into tears. I had a copy of this book as a little girl, but I’d forgotten all about it. It has a wonderful, simple story and absolutely stunning illustrations. I will never forget about it again.I love the board book format–much sturdier than the paper Golden Book I grew up with. My son is beginning to pick this book up more and more, and I hope it…

Delightful, simple story about a bunny named Nicholas This is such a sweet board book. The shape of the book is long and thin. The simple illustrations by Richard Scarry are delightful. My 19 month old daughter loves examining the pages and seeing the bunny in the various seasons. Her very favorite page is the last one where the bunny is curled up in his hollow tree under a cozy blanket during winter. This book has quickly become a favorite in our house.

Passing my love for this book down to my daughter. I had forgotten all about this book until a mommy blog I read put it at the top of their best books for babies list. I loved this book as a child. I can remember reading it over and over again. I loved the beautiful, colorful illustrations by Richard Scarry. I can remember counting the birds, the butterflies, the frogs, the dandelion seeds, the leaves, but not the snowflakes- too many! Growing up in the desert which doesn’t really have seasons, I was fascinated by this book’s depiction of all…
