Every Newborn Should Come with Instructions All parents would benefit from reading Carol’s book because we all want our little “Star” to be the best they can be. But how do we deal with the downside of being gifted? Carol covers the good, the bad and the downright enlightening viewpoint that even “disabled” are gifted. As a social worker I love her wholesome, healthy approaches – relax a little she says, listen to your kids. I loved Chapter 8 because I think mentoring helps both the mentor and the child because it is about connectedness…

Great focus on really important things While raising my twelve years old gifted son I’ve faced lot of issues. This book addresses some of the most important problems I’ve faced. Specially when society expects a lot from them, and no, a gifted children is not expected to get straight A’s on every single subject most of his life. The books help parents to set real expectations and how to help your kid to set them too. A great book!

I found the book informative My daughter is a physician with a highly active, energetic, very intense 12, soon to be 13, year old boy. I taught for 35 years and worked with both ADHD and gifted children. I needed all the information I could glean to deal with the times I care for my grandson. My daughter and son were both gifted. My son was non-complient, under preforming but found himself and peers in college.
